Library & Audio-Visual/Media

The HSB Beverly Barclay Library is located on the second floor of the school. It is a large, bright, welcoming area where students can study, do group work, hang out with friends in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

The library opens every day at 7:30 a.m.  and closes at 3:30 p.m. (Friday 2:30) Students are welcome to come to the library anytime, but during class time require a note from their teacher.

Students may take out three books at a time for a period of 14 days. We carry the latest novels, magazines, graphic novels  and comic books  as well as the Montreal Gazette and The Eastern Door.  We have Kobo e-readers and a selection of books on C.D. and GoReaders available for loan.  Come “check them out!” (A loan agreement must first be signed by a parent or guardian before a Kobo can be loaned out).
Fines are charged for overdue items. Student I.D. cards are used to borrow books. Lost I.D. cards can be replaced at a cost of $3.00.
