Chateauguay and the towns surrounding the HSB catchment area are a tight-knit, dynamic, hard-working and proud community.
We are excited to be kicking off the 2017-2018 school year with a new administrative team; a team who understands the HSB community and who’s familiar faces are not so new.
Collin Thomas, School Principal
Mr Thomas began his teaching career with New Frontiers in 2001 at HSB where he worked for 9 years as a secondary IV/V core teacher, head teacher/coordinator of the Directions Alternative School, and as a Middle School Math teacher. In 2010, Mr Thomas was named Principal of CPS, in 2012 he served as a Vice‐Principal at CVR, in 2013 he was named Principal at Gault Institute, and since 2016, Mr Thomas served as a Vice‐Principal at HSB. Mr Thomas, a graduate of Alexander Galt Regional High School, has a diploma of collegial studies from Champlain College, a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education with Distinction, both from Bishop’s University, and his Master of Arts in Integrated Studies in Education from McGill.
Lynn Claude, Vice-Principal, Senior School
HSB Alumna and former School Board Commissioner, Mrs Claude began teaching at HSB in 2001. As well as teaching in many subject areas, Mrs Claude served as the Chairperson of the Senior School English Department, and as Program Coordinator and Head Teacher within the Directions Alternative Program. In 2011 Mrs Claude was named Vice-Principal and served there until December 2013. In January 2014, Mrs Claude was named replacement Principal at Heritage Elementary School, and in June 2014 was named Principal at St. Willibrord Elementary School. During the 2016-17 school year, Mrs Claude was the Head Mistress at Miss Edgar’s & Miss Cramp’s School.
Mrs Claude has a Bachelor of Arts, with Honours in Anthropology, from McGill University, a Bachelor of Education, Secondary English & History also from McGill, and a Masters in Educational Leadership.
Dave Reddick, Vice‐Principal, Middle School
A graduate of Chateauguay Valley Regional High School, Mr Reddick has a DEC in Social Sciences from John Abbott College, and a Bachelor of Education, Physical & Health Science, from McGill University. Mr Reddick has worked as a math and physical education teacher, was on the HSB Governing Board, and involved in coaching and refereeing. Since July 2014, Mr Reddick served as the Assistant Centre Director at the Nova Career Centre in Chateauguay. Mr Reddick is also the proud founding member of the Adult Education Athletics Association.
Mr Reddick is looking forward in being back at Howard S. Billings high school and excited to be part of the Blazer team once again!!
